missions trip//evangelism
I’ve been praying for a few weeks about the Mission Trip that the College Ministry I’m apart of is doing over spring break.
I’ve made the decision to say YES, and go with them.
It’s not outside of the U.S., but instead to a new church plant in Raleigh, NC. At first, I wasn’t partial to the idea because it was still in the U.S., and in the South at that. In fact, I’ve always been super annoyed with the idea of a missions trip within the US, but after prayer, I realized that this is an incredible opportunity to learn, grow, and share the Gospel with people who may or may not have a relationship with Jesus.
Telling people about Jesus in the South is a totally different experience than telling people in the North..and I’m excited for the challenge, especially, because of my love for the South and my desire to eventually move down there!
A lot of people lately have approached me about my heart for evangelism, and I think this is a great way to see God use and affirm that in me!
In fact, after more and more prayer, I’m seeing this as such an opportunity to really learn HOW to share the gospel in a non-life group setting.
Right now, I’m clinging to Jesus with everything, and what He’s done and is doing for me is what is pushing me to do this…. I can’t keep Him a secret!!!!!!
Please pray that I would get the support I need for this trip!!!
